Marzo had invited us to his ecovillage in the midst of the Maya region near Ocosingo in the state of Chiapas. Also, nearby reigned the followers of Sub comandante Marcos. Here the Maya insurrection had started on the 1st of January 1994, the same day the Free trade pact had been signed between Mexico, US and Canada.
